The Byfeld mittens are a fun and playful mitten design with a simple cable and cute popcorns/ bobbles!
They can be knit using a fingering weight yarn held with something lace weight and fluffy like mohair or brushed suri-alpaca or with any DK weight yarn held alone.

The pattern is for 3 adult sizes S, M & L
To fit a hand circumference of:

7 (7.75, 8.5) inches/ 18 (19, 21.5) cm
(measured just above but not including your thumb)

The gauge is 24 stitches to 28 rows over 10cm/ 4” in stocking stitch using 4mm needles. Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge if necessary.

You will need:

140, 160, 180m of Dk weight yarn or of fingering and lace weight held together.

3.5mm/ US 4 - 32” 80cm-long circular for magic loop or DPNs
4mm / US 6- 32”/ 80 cm- long circular for magic loop or DPNs
