This scarf is part of the Infinite Grannies series and showcases the classic one-round granny square in a fresh, unexpected way.

Using Breakaway Crochet, the grannies are worked continuously in back-and-forth rows and arranged diagonally to create a C2C-style layout with bold, self-forming sawtooth edges.

There’s no sewing, no cutting, and no yarn tails to weave in—just a cozy, statement-making scarf that’s as fun to work as it is to wear.

YARN SUBSTITUTIONS

Yarns with long color changes or ombre yarns are not recommended. If substituting a different “plushie” yarn, do a sample first to make sure the texture of the grannies is still visible.

A video tutorial of the stitch used is available on YouTube.
