Cabana Boy is a spring/summer weight scarf knit on the bias with a simple lace repeat consisting of evenly spaced double yarn overs. The lace rows are spaced according to the Fibonacci sequence, a mathematical concept that creates patterns that are very pleasing to the human eye. A little trivia – Fibonacci was one of the most famous mathematicians from the middle ages – his real name was Leonardo Bonacci and he observed naturally occurring patterns based on a multi-generational growth pattern of a population of rabbits. The Fibonacci Sequence starts at 0 and goes to 233, with each number being the sum of the 2 previous numbers.
