Luscious fabric, easy knitting, instant styling…what’s not to like? We’re smitten with this hat and cowl that use familiar stitch patterns in an offbeat way. And oh, the marling possibilities!

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Hat: One size, two heights: Approx. 20” / 51 cm circumference x 9” / 23 cm (11” / 28 cm) tall

Cowl: One size: Approx. 27” / 68.5 cm circumference at bottom and 22” / 56 cm circumference at top x 20” / 51 cm tall

YARN

Hat: Approx. 160 yds / 146 m (195 yds / 178 m) of a worsted-weight yarn, or each of yarns to hold together to create fabric in stated gauge.

Sample shown in taller height in 1 skein of Plucky Knitter Pippi Fingering (95% superwash extra-fine brushed merino, 5% nylon; 450 yds / 411 m per 100 g) in color Henley held together with 1 skein of Plucky Knitter Plume Lace (74% baby suri alpaca, 26% silk; 328 yds / 300 m per 50 g) in color Cabin Essence.

Cowl: Approx. 320 yds / 293 m each of a fluffy fingering-weight yarn and a laceweight yarn held together.
