’Cabin Fever Socks’ is a pair of simple socks knitted top-down. This is a collaboration with Laia, the dyer behind Soc una troca!, who recently went through breast cancer, just like I did at 27, and I decided to help her small business a boost by designing this pattern with her yarns. The pattern includes two versions: plain, or with an easy cable pattern along the side of the leg. It starts with a simple picot cast on, continue knitting the leg, then work the yo-yo heel — the easiest option for beginners who have never knitted socks before — and finish the foot with an barefoot toe cup and invisible bind off.

Sizes: 1 (2, 3)
Finished sock circumference: 17 (19.5, 22.5) cm, blocked
Yarn: 1 skein of Terra by Soc una troca! (100 gr - 400 m), shown in “coffee” color
Gauge: 28 sts in stockinette st, knitted in the round, blocked = 10 cm
Please note that when modifying gauge you may also alter size or run short on yarn.
Recommended needle size: 2.5 mm (or size needed to obtain gauge) for main fabric
+ ½ size down for the picot cast on

Cabin Fever Socks son un par de calcetines sencillos tejidos de arriba abajo. Se trata de una colaboración con Laia, la tintorera detrás de Soc una troca!, que hace poco pasó por un cáncer de mama, como yo con 27 años, y decidí ayudarla a darle un pequeño empujoncito a su negocio diseñando este patrón con sus lanas. El patrón incluye dos versiones: liso o con un dibujo de trenza fácil en el lateral de la caña. Comienza con un montaje de picot sencillo, continúa tejiendo la caña, después se trabaja el talón yoyó que es el más fácil para principiantes que nunca han tejido calcetines antes, y termina el pie con una puntera respetuosa y cierre invisible.

Hilo: 1 madeja de Terra de Soc una troca! (100 gr - 400 m), color de la muestra: “coffee”
Muestra: 28 ptos a punto liso en redondo = 10 cm
Por favor ten en cuenta que si alteras la muestra, es posible que el calcetín no quede de tu talla y además consumas una cantidad de hilo diferente a la indicada en este patrón
Aguja recomendada: 2.5 mm (o el tamaño necesario para cuadrar la muestra) para el tejido principal
+ ½ número menos para el montaje picot
