I wanted a sock pattern with detail, but quick to knit without need for constant attention to a chart or pattern. I have always loved cables, so this pattern was created. The pattern has seven rows with only one being different to add the cables.

I began knitting socks traditionally with double pointed needles. I later tried patterns written for 2 circular needles. I found that I really enjoyed using this method, except during the section adding the gusset. So, I began using 3 needles for this section only. This allows me to keep all the pattern stitches on one needle and easily know where to decrease for the gusset without using markers.

This pattern is written for 3 16” circular needles and one cable hook.

This yarn and medium pattern make a snug fitting sock, perfect for narrow to average feet.*

A large size is now included because not all feet or yarns are the same.*

The two sizes may reasonably be considered SMALL AND MEDIUM.

I hope you enjoy these socks.
