I really love knitting cabled hats. It’s all of the plush texture of a sweater with a smaller time (and yarn!) commitment. For this hat, I combined three cable patterns and a brim that can be worn flat or folded to create an infinitely wearable hat for everyone in the family. My favorite part of this hat is the reversible brim. The ribbing is knit with cables on the outside and the inside so that it looks good no matter how you style it. The body of the hat is a bold diamond motif.

An adult version can be found here.

A note of disclosure: the adorable boy in the photos is wearing the adult version. The main difference between the two patterns is fewer rounds knit for the brim and the body.
