This hat, a close fitting, short cabled hat, is best made with a smooth yarn so that the cables are clearly defined. It can easily be made longer by adding more repeat rounds in the ribbing or additional cable row repeats.

a note about the pattern:
CblF4 means put two stitches on the cable needle, hold to the front, knit two from the left hand needle, knit two from the cable needle. Somehow this bit of info did not make it to the .pdf pattern. So sorry!
