1 (2, 3, 4, 5, 6) to fit bust circumference 80 (90, 100, 110, 120, 130) cm
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
93 (106, 116, 123, 142, 151) cm bust circumference
GAUGE
24 sts and 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm over cable pattern using larger needles, blocked.
YARN
As long as your gauge matches, you may use any yarn from light DK to worsted weight.
For a bust circumference of 93 cm, you’ll need approximately 800–900 yards (730–820 m) of yarn.
For 106 cm, about 950–1,050 yards (870–960 m);
for 116 cm, 1,100–1,250 yards (1,000–1,140 m);
for 123 cm, 1,250–1,400 yards (1,140–1,280 m);
for 142 cm, 1,450–1,650 yards (1,325–1,510 m);
and for 151 cm, approximately 1,600–1,800 yards (1,460–1,650 m).
NEEDLES AND NOTIONS
4.5 mm / 60 cm circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)
3.5 mm / 40–60 cm circular needle for ribbing
Likewise, as long as your gauge matches, you’re free to use whatever needle size gives you the correct tension.
Cable needle, tapestry needle, stitch holders, removable markers, etc.
NOTES
The cardigan is worked top-down, beginning with the back. Stitches are then picked up and knitted for the left and right fronts. Next, stitches are picked up along the side edges of the fronts to form the sleeves, and all pieces are joined to continue working down the body and sleeves in one piece.
