This is an Aran inspired cable knit snood knitted using US8 (5mm) needles and worsted weight yarn.

Increasing the ribbing length at the beginning and end and also continuing the pattern further will yield a scarf which would look nice with some fringing added to each end.

I used 3 skeins of Lily Sugar’n Cream Original cotton in Lilac.
If using an alternative yarn please bear in mind the total yardage required for this project.
