This pattern is for intermediate knitters, as the cable stitch shown in the hat pattern is a little complicated.

• DESCRIPTION

The hat is knit in the round with a twisting cable design.

Great for keeping you warm on those cold winter days!

Yarn

1 skein of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick in Grey Marble

Super bulky/super chunky/14 ply yarn.

Needles

8mm (US 11) 16” circular knitting needles

10.00mm (US 15) 16″ circulars.

Cable needle

Please note - you may have to change your needles for the decreases of the hat if working on the circulars becomes too tight.

This would mean using a set of size 10mm double-pointed needles (DPNs).

If you do not have those, you could use a 60cm/24” cable and use the magic loop technique.

• SKILLS

Level – Intermediate

This is an intermediate-level knitting pattern and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, purl stitch, cable stitch, increasing, decreasing, and working in the round.
