This cowl can be made with any super bulky (6) yarn of your choice. I personally would recommend the yarn I used because of things like fit, drape, texture, etc. The smallest details are considered in the end result when I design handmade pieces. Think of it as a recipe. If one ingredient is changed, then the final result can be different. Sometimes dramatically. I still encourage you to be creative.

The Cable Mountains is a collaborative knit piece inspired by the interweaving, winding, lonesome, and journey of a mountain path. Sure to bring some masculine to a handmade piece with its structured uniformed cables. My original is made of 100% merino wool. Sugarbush Chill yarn is the perfect yarn for this pattern. This version is made with Loops & Threads Cozy Wool. It creates a drapey and manipulative piece compared to the squishier Sugarbush Chill yarn. Bone-chilling days may not stand a chance with this knit.
