This knit-look crocheted cable stitch baby beanie is a classic!

Whenever I make a baby gift for a friend incorporating a cable stitch design, they tend to think it was something expensive that I bought at Eddie Bauer (for example). You will impress with this little hat also.

Pattern is written for newborn size (0-3 months), but can be easily increased to fit older child or even adult by adding a few more cable pattern repetitions, or by using alternative yarn types and hook sizes.
