This scarf riffs on the traditional Aran XOX pattern. The cabled “kisses and hugs” feature an extra braid to each X and reverse directions. In addition, the cabled pattern travels outward at each end of the scarf, providing jaunty flounces. A brioche rib offers a sturdy but airy background that will stay flat.
