This pattern is available for free.

Pattern is for a baggy “elf” style knitted beanie in bulky yarn, with ribbed edge, cable stitched columns, and a loose floppy pompom stitched at the crown. Beanie is knitted in the flat, with side seam stitched up to finish.
100g or two balls of chunky yarn will comfortable make this beanie, and leave a little extra for a fuller pompom too.
