“Cabled Boot Topper” is the perfect pattern to use your favorite, leftover skein of yarn. The pattern incorporates simple ribbing and what I call “moving” cables. While full instructions are in the download, please note that this pattern allows for customization and deals with some basic, conceptual themes as explanation for achieving the basket weave cables because the pattern is worked in the round. This is suitable for beginner to intermediate knitters.

I was inspired to create this pattern after wearing my favorite pair of ridding boots with a skirt one chilly afternoon. I love wearing my hand-knit socks but I had always wished that I could show off the cables that adorn it, and so I created a topper to do just that!
