These mitts were designed to match my Cabled Sea Turtle Socks and Cabled Sea Turtle Beanie, using cabling techniques to create sea turtle motifs. The turtles do reduce stretch in the mitts, so please consider this when choosing yarn and needle size. These mitts can be made smaller or larger with yarn weight and needle size changes. The cables on the cuffs represent seaweed. The designer knit these in Catalina Yarns Baby Pima (worsted weight) with smaller needles than the label recommends for a dense fabric to keep out the cold.
