Cabled socks from project card 12 in Chick Knits by Julia Cooper.

Found errors in the pattern: In abbreviations, cable instructions should say “slip next 2 sts onto cable needle,” not “next 4 sts” (it is a 4 st cable).

Instructions for pattern round indicates a 58 st repeat but we only cast on 54 sts! I rewrote to read as follows:
1st round K10, P2, K4, P2, K18, P2, K4, P2, K10
2nd round As 1st round
3rd round K10, P2, C4B, P2, K18, P2, C4F, P2, K10
4th to 6th rounds As 1st round

The heel shaping came out a bit funny, with holes at the increasing and decreasing, but as this is my first sock, I’m not sure if the problem is with the pattern or the knitter!
