The detailed cable and lace pattern makes this pretty scarf visually appealing while the soft merino wool it is worked in makes it warm and luxurious. The pattern is easy to master and interesting to knit. A fingering weight wool makes it suitable for fall, winter, or spring.

This easy pattern is worked flat from end to end. Pattern includes notes, list of abbreviations, and written and charted instructions for the pattern stitch. Two full skeins of Malabrigo Finito are used in this pattern. Finished measurements: approximately 10 inches (25 cm) wide and 50 inches (127 cm) long. To make a longer scarf, more yarn would be required.

Skills required: Cabling, basic lace knitting, working yarn overs after and before knit and purl stitches, blocking. Stitches used: k, p, sl1, C4F, (sl1, k2tog, psso), ssk, yo.
