Can’t afford the pattern price? This pattern is also available for free on the Yeti Yarns website.

Feeling a little chilly? These mitts are squishy and cozy enough to add that extra layer of warmth. The pattern uses a simple mock-cable rib which is easy to customize to any length or width (and you never have to worry about losing your cable needle). Simple twisting colorwork adds visual interest and is a great way to use up your scraps.

Materials
MC: At least 72 grams or ~180 yards of Yeti Yarns Drop Bear DK yarn
CC: At least 2 grams or ~6 yards of Yeti Yarns Drop Bear DK yarn
Size US6 needles (I prefer circular, but you may like DPNs)

Gauge
10 stitches of ribbing, unstretched= 1”
While gauge is not vital, changes in gauge may result in differing amounts of yarn used. I think it’s always better to have more yarn than you need so that you don’t run out part-way through.

Sizing
The use of faux cables makes it so that there is no need for increasing or decreasing to shape the arms of the mitts. They are designed to be really quite snug. You can make them as long or short as you like, but I highly recommend trying them on, as they’ll look much longer as you knit them.

Notes
While this pattern is really incredibly simple to work once you get going, it is difficult to put into writing. Only use the CC when it’s expressly called out, and you’ll be just fine. You can do it!
Feel free to sell and share any items you’ve made using this pattern - you worked hard to knit them!
