When you need a little extra protection against chilled air, it’s time to show your True Colors. Simple repeating sections of garter and brioche make this cowl a wonderfully meditative project that is easy to customize and easy to wear.
Please note that while this pattern is suitable for beginner brioche, it does assume that you know how to work basic brioche stitches. It is not a tutorial.

Materials
MC: At least 75 grams or 300 yards of Yeti Yarns Bachelor Bigfoot, or other fingering weight yarn
CC: At least 25 grams or 100 yards of Yeti Yarns Bachelor Bigfoot, or other fingering weight yarn
Size US3, 24” circular needle
Stitch marker
Finishing tools

Gauge
15 stitches, unstretched garter= 1”. Gauge is not vital, just make sure it’s the right size for you. Changes in gauge will result in changes in the amount of yarn used.

Sizing
I tend to like my cowls to be wider, so this is written to be quite drapey. If you prefer yours to be more snug, simply stop increasing and join when it’s the size you like. Be aware that joining early will make the cowl shorter, and that changes in size will result in changes in the amount of yarn used.
