This cardigan is an oversized cardigan worked with a fine gauge yarn on large needles in a dreamy alpaca and bamboo blended yarn for amazing drape. The bamboo keeps the piece light and airy, and the alpaca lends a special warmth on cool fall days. Alternately, Knit Picks Gloss Fingering’s wool and silk blend is another great choice for this cardigan.

The cable and lace pattern is a simple 8 row repeat with cables being worked on rows 1 and row 5 of the pattern. The pattern incorporates generous positive ease to create an oversize look that is perfect to throw on over anything!

For styling, try wearing Café au Lait over your favorite bright colored tank for a light piece to protect from the office AC in summer. Or wear with your favorite long sleeve Henley, leggings and tall brown boots for a cute layered look for fall. Add a hand-knitted cowl for an extra special look.
