Caja is a boxy oversized sweater with extra long sleeves to keep you warm during the winter months. The sweater is knitted seamlessly from top down with dropped shoulder construction. The pattern has one size only, but it can easily be modified to meet your own size.

I used every single bit of Melody, so you might need a sixth skein to dip in.

ERRATA

Before casting on sts for knitting in round, knit one row even.

On body, Row 3 should read:

Row 3 (WS): p to M, m1lpw, SM, p2, SM, m1rpw, p to M, m1lpw, SM, p2, SM, m1rpw, p to end

And on neckline shaping, Row 2 should read:

Row 2 (WS): p to M, m1lpw, SM, p2, SM, m1rpw, p to M, m1lpw, SM, p2, SM, m1rpw, p to end

The total stitch count after neckline shaping should be 152 sts, the numbers in parentheses are correct.

After the first short row turn, knit to the second marker (slip 2 markers), slip it and continue per instructions. The short rows are knitted over the whole back piece of the jumper.

Yarn:

The sweater is knitted holding two strands together, one bulky and one fingering weight. You need approximately 5 skeins of any bulky wt yarn 140 m/153 yds per 50 g and 5 skeins of any fingering wt yarn 170 m/186 yds per 50g.

The sample jumper used 5 skeins of Drops Melody, 140 m/50 g and 5 skeins of Drops Nord. 170 m/50g.

Needles etc:

8.00 mm/ US 11 100 cm/ 40” or longer circular needle
Stitch markers and tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

Gauge:

12 sts x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm/ 4” x 4” in stockinette stitch after light blocking.
