The Calendula Shawl is a design in collaboration with Myak Yarns that can be worn both in Summer/Spring and Autumn/Winter season, depending on what materials you want to work with.
The edge is the star of the design and what makes it that suits any outfit.
The chosen colors signify the earth and the arrival of spring with the Calendula (Marigold) flower and its shades between yellow and orange, a color full of life and good energy!

Construction notes:
This Shawl has a Top Down construction with Crescent Half Moon shape.
It is crocheted in flat, at the end of each Row, you will have to turn the fabric.
The increases are made at the end of each row of the Shawl, so that the Crescent shape is formed.
The edge of the Shawl is worked with a Lace Edge and is the section that represents the marigolds or calendulas flowers.
This pattern contains written instructions, a scheme for the Lace Edge, and progress charts in each section so that you can keep track of your progress.

Yarns:
For this design I used Baby Yak by Myak. Each skein contains 50 gr / 350 m / 1 ¾ oz / 370 yds.

The yarn weight of this yarn is Lace, so I decided to work with 2 strands at the same time. You can use any yarn in Sport weight and 1 strand.

Colors:

  • CA: Oatmeal (natural), 75 gr / 525 m / 2 ¾ oz / 574 yd (if you will work with Sport weight you will need 263 m)
  • CB: Chocolate, 90 gr / 630 m / 3 ¼ oz / 690 yd ( if you will work with Sport weight you will need 315 m)
  • CC: Saffron (orange), 100 gr / 700 m / 3 ½ oz / 740 yd (if you will work with Sport weight you will need 350 m)

Notions:

  • Crochet hook 4 mm / US G

Herramientas:

  • Agujas de Crochet de 4 mm / US G
