There are 2 versions of Calista: OPEN BACK and CLOSED BACK

I’ve always wanted to create a dress that made me feel like a queen. Being from the Philippines, naturally my thought was “if I were a queen of a Filipino tribe, what would my dress look like?!” One evening, while I was digging through my yarn stash, I had a sudden inspiration from the earthy colors of this ombré yarn that seemed perfect for this project I had in mind. This is when Calista was born, made up of stitches that reminded me of native Filipino handmade furniture. The stitches seem intricate but are actually very easy to execute for an intermediate crocheter. If you are an advanced beginner, you certainly will learn beautiful new stitches here! I am very proud to share this design with you.
Calista means “the most beautiful”. That will definitely be your vibe when you wear your Calista dress!

LEVEL :
Intermediate

Materials:
• Sport weight yarn (category 2). Your yarn should have a bit of a stretch to it. I used fine cotton yarn, around 500g, 2000m.
• 3mm and 4.5mm hooks
• Measuring tape
• Elastic band (0.25in width)
• Stitch markers
• Scissors
• Tapestry Needle
• Beads and a small size hook that can go through the beads (optional)
