Callista means “Most beautiful” in Greek origins and it was a perfect name for this wrap, with its alternating lace and solid sections creating interesting drape and textures. Its a simple lacey asymmetrical wrap worked in two colours creating beautiful stripes. The Tunisian Smock stitch and the Arrowhead stitch create a very light flowy fabric, thats perfect for spring.
The Callista Wrap is an asymetrical Tunisian Crochet Shawl worked flat. It starts from the Narrow end increasing every step to form the triangular aymetrical shape.
It is surely one of those mindless repetitive designs that you can peacefully work on after a long day.
The sample is made in Viscose yarn that adds such a beautiful shine, texture and not to mention the heavenly drape, to the shawl.
