The Year of Hats is back, this time featuring our latest yarn in the Germantown line, Germantown DK! The Year of DK Hats will feature 12 free patterns using our favorite knitting techniques.

Our first design, the Callisto Hat by Tommy Knits, features a tubular cast on, beautiful XO cables, and intricate crown decreases. A pom pom tops it all off and a custom KW tag completes the look.

Buy a kit from our site or ask for it at your favorite LYS!

Worthy of Note
Callisto is worked in the round from the bottom up. After a tubular cast on, a K1, P1 ribbing is worked to form the deep brim. An X, O cable pattern is worked for the body of the hat from written or charted instructions.

Decreases are worked from charted or written instructions. The beginning of the round is shifted on the first round of the decrease section.
