Calvera is a neutron star in the constellation Ursa Minor (a.k.a the Little Dipper). Neutron stars are the collapsed remnants of supergiant stars after they’ve gone through a supernova explosion.

I thought the name would be fitting for this design, which shows stars of lesser and lesser size, similar to the life of a supergiant star turn neutron star.

The hat and cowl feature yarn from Good Karma Farm in Maine. The colorways used in the example are Mojo Alligator and George.

The hat and cowl patterns are included together in one download. The yardage estimate is for the pair (hat and cowl). If making only one garment, the total yardage is approximately half.

Approximate yardage for hat and cowl combined: 220 yds Main Color (purple variegated), 240 yds Contrast Color (white).

Happy knitting!
