Upon purchase, you will receive a PDF download for a knitting CHART which can be used for personal use, only. Written directions are also included.

I created this chart to knit a sweater for my 7 year old son who just LOVES chickens!

Chart is worked in the round, from the top down.

I chose to knit this chart intarsia style as opposed to stranding multiple yarns at the same time. I found working with multiple yarns as the same time within a row to be both cumbersome and produced a thicker fabric than I desired so I instead has smaller balls of yarn and avoided the floats. This will result in lots of ends to weave in BUT your knitting will be flush with the rest of your project.

You may use whatever gauge you wish to fit your project, but for reference, I used Lion Brand Wool Ease (a heavy worsted / aran weight yarn) on size 8 (5mm) needles which yielded a chicken that was 7.625” tall x 7.5” wide. Yardage for this gauge (16 sts x 21 rows in 4”) is provided below.
