This pattern has been test knit and tech edited for your knitting pleasure.

Camber Eclipse is a dramatic geometric cowl with an asymmetric panel of waning stockinette stitch. Offered in multiple sizes, this cowl is designed to be worn either drawn over your shoulders like a sleeveless bolero or draped around your neck and torso. The declining dimensions of this simple taper offer pleasing visual movement, while the continued textural beauty of the body provides satisfying knitting. As you knit your way towards completion, the dimensions of this cowl smoothly transition from your size’s chosen shoulder measurements to a finished circumference that is only slightly more fitted than a well-knit hat’s brim. Written to include a slight amount of negative ease, this cowl can cover both your chin and neck offering its stylish protective warmth, while also including sufficient ease to be pulled on without destroying that great hair day. Each of these carefully thought out details, as originally found in Camber: A Hat, have been worked to balance visual interest, rhythmic progression, and to provide you with a cowl that will fly off your needles from cast-on through decreases. As always, this neutral, warm, flattering, and slightly quirky stitch provides so many reasons to work this pattern!

This pattern is easily adaptable with clear instructions, a detailed schematic, 7 sizes, and 2 options for gauge. Regardless of the bulky weight yarn you choose Camber Eclipse can be made to suit your desired fit and styling preferences. This cowl showcases how the transformative nature of little decisions can alter the whole, and how seemingly small but consistent steps towards an end goal when combined with the resilience of fiber provide us with a beautiful and transformed finished product.
