We love capes, but they are just not that practical in everyone’s everyday life. So we’ve designed this casual cardigan to echo the generous feel of a cape, but with a more practical view. Deep raglan sleeves mean you can easily carry a shoulder bag, the buttoned polo neckline is cosy and the asymmetrical front adds interest. It will add relaxed warmth to an outfit with a pop of bright colour. Knitted from the top down in one piece with integral buttonbands, the collar is worked last from the provisional cast on stitches.

You will need:
1 set 5mm (uK 6/us 8) circular needles, 60cm long or longer
1 set 5mm (uK 6/us 8) circular needles, 30-40cm long (for sleeves) Stitch markers
Waste yarn
Stitch holders
Four 25mm buttons
4 to 6 metal snaps (poppers)
Approx. 1m of herringbone tape/ribbon (optional)
