The hat is cast on and a two -coloured rib is worked. The body of the hat has the stranded colour-work incorporated in four colours but only two colours ever worked at one time and with no long floats. The crown is shaped with plain stockinette and decreases before closing at the crown. A pom-pom may be added if desired.

Height of finished hat (excluding pom-pom) 8 ½” / 22 cm or to desired length.
Choose a size that is slightly smaller than your head circumference to get a cosy fit.

Needles and Notions
US 2 / 2.75 mm circular needle for hat knitting. Adjust needle size as needed to obtain correct gauge.
Tapestry needle and pom-pom if desired.
