Cameron is a color blocked cardigan based on the classic dress shirt. It comes with James’ unique StitchSaverTM Row checker, which helps you keep track of stitch count row-by-row and all increase and decrease shaping.

The body is worked top-down with provisional cast ons at the shoulder, they are worked to the underarm. Shoulder cast on stitches are picked up and joined with neck cast on stitches then worked to the underarm. Next, the fronts and back are worked in one piece to the seamless knitted hem. The pocket stitches are held while stitches are cast on for the next row and the body of the sweater is finished. Later the pocket stitches are picked up and the lining is worked. Stitches are picked up around each armhole, then the sleeves caps are worked flat before the lower sleeves in the round. Each is finished with button plackets and 2-layered cuffs that are folded with seamless knitted hems. Stitches for the 2-layered button bands are also picked up and folded with knitted hems. The neck band is picked up and worked with the collar like the cuffs and button bands to create a 2-layered collar with a knitted hem. If the dress shirt design is tempting, check out the Robert pattern, a classic “white dress shirt sweater.”
