The CAMITA (Cardigan mit Taschen = Cardigan with Pockets) is a striped, circular yoke, top-down cardigan that features neat details and interesting techniques. It uses an additional lace weight yarn every few rows to create the beautifully subtle stripes.
Start top down with short rows to create the sporty and comfy crew neckline, continue with the yoke, working stripes and increases as described. Separate into sleeve and body, then work pockets as you move down the lower body - in a very satisfying and uncomplicated way. The sleeves are worked in the round and can be shaped as in the photos or straight. At the end you pick up stitches for the collar, work the ribbing and then add the front bands. All ribbings end (or start) with a tubular bind-off (cast-on) for a professional finishing.

plus 5-15 cm (2-6 inches) of positive ease. The cardigan has a casual fit, so if you like a more fitted style just choose a size smaller or less ease. Sample size 2 is photographed on a 85 cm (33, 5 inches) bust with 11 cm (4.5 inches) of positive ease.
The cardigan is designed with a short length, add more length by adding stripes before and along the pockets.

NEEDLES
Circular needles to obtain gauge: one larger (recommended 5,0 mm (US 8)) and one smaller (recommended 4,0 mm (US 6)) with a length at least of 80 cm (32 inches), 1 additional needle in the larger size for the pockets (this can have a shorter length)
Optional: double-pointed needles in both sizes (if you don’t want to work the sleeves with the magic loop method)

GAUGE
18 sts x 28 rows = 10x10 cm (4x4 inches) in stockinette stitch, blocked, with larger needle size

Color A: Worsted or DK weight to obtain requested gauge
E.g.: Sandnes Garn Duo (DK; 55% Merino wool, 45% cotton; 115 m (126 yds) per 50g, colorway 8072 Skoggron / Forest Green)
Color B (contrast color): Color A held together with a laceweight yarn (sample uses a very thin cashmere yarn, origin unknown, you can use Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair (lace; 57% mohair, 28% silk, 15% wool; 212 m (231 yds) per 25g, colorway 8521 Stovet Lys Gronn / Light Green
Alternatively, you can work with 2 or more colors of a worsted / DK weight yarn.
