Camomille is a triangular scarf adorned with a floral lace motif inspired by the small flowers of the chamomille that grow in the mountains. Its romantic and delicate feel is enhanced by the crocheted border reminiscent of petals. The design, as enjoyable to make as it is to wear, is available in four sizes: kerchief, bandana, scarf and shawl. Its construction allows for easy adjustment. Once the main part of the shawl is knitted, a crocheted border is added. It’s an ideal project for using up leftover yarn and adding a touch of whimsy to your accessories collection.

Sizes: Kerchief 22×62 cm / 8 ½ x 24 ½ inches (Bandana 26×84 cm / 10 ¼ x 33 inches), Scarf 32×103 cm / 12 ½ x 40 ½ inches, (Shawl 45×130 cm / 17 ¾ x 51 ¼ inches).

Gauge: 25 sts & 32 rows for 4 inches /10 cm in stockinette with lace pattern after blocking.Gauge is not crucial for this project but will affect yardage and final size when different.

Yarn & notions:

• 150 (180) 200 (550) m / 165 (200) 220 (600) yards of any fingering. Samples shown are knitted in Biches & Bûches, le Petit Lambswool in summer orange (kerchief), very light blue (bandana), off white (scarf). Please keep in mind that yardage is an estimate.

• Needle US 4 / 3.5 mm with an 80 cm / 32’’ cable

• Crochet hook US 4 / 3.5 mm, stitch markers, tapestry needle.

Camomille est un foulard triangulaire que le patron vous permet de décliner également en bandana, écharpe et châle. Il est orné d’un motif floral en dentelle s’inspirant des petites fleurs de camomille qui poussent en montagne. Sa note romantique et délicate est renforcée par la bordure au crochet rappelant les pétales. Sa construction permet d’ajuster facilement la taille au fur et à mesure. Une fois la partie principale de l’ouvrage tricotée, on ajoute la bordure au crochet. C’est un projet idéal pour terminer de beaux restes de fil et ajouter un peu de fantaisie dans sa collection d’accessoires.
