At first glance, Campbell is a classic ribbed sock in the most luxurious of sock yarns. Only when the wearer moves or sits down will an elegant, subtle argyle cable motif at the top of the leg, a cheeky nod to Scottish kilt hose, be revealed. Campbell is a sophisticated match with any outfit, be it for the office or for a casual brunch with friends.

Campbell socks are knit top down in a 2x2 Rib. The heel features a slip-stitch heel pattern for durability and a French heel turn. The cable is a simple 1/1 crossover, which can easily be worked without a cable needle, optionally. The pattern offers two versions of the cable: a single repeat for the minimalists, or a triple repeat for a slightly bolder statement. The cable part of this pattern is both written and charted.
