Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!

If you do too AND you like campervans then why not use our PDF crochet pattern to make yourself our Campervan Travels Bucket Hat and help keep the sun out of your eyes? Of course, living here in the UK there isn’t always sunshine at the beach but either way a hat may come in handy!

Finished Size

The finished size of the hat is: actual circumference – approx. 20.5”/52cm which will fit a head up to around 22”/56cm. The actual height from the crown to the start of the brim is approx. 7”/18cm and you can make the brim as big as you like!

What you need to make it

This hat is made with Aran weight yarn, using around 100g/3.5 ounces in total. If you don’t have any aran, maybe you could double up some double knitting weight yarn (just check your gauge/tension first). For the main hat I used Deep Blue, Light Blue, White, Sand and a very nice sparkly variegated yarn for the sea. The campervan is worked in Red, White and Black Double Knitting weight yarn. You’ll need a 5mm hook for the main hat and a 3.5mm hook for the little. You’ll also need a couple of buttons. I used 5/8 inch/15mm 4 hole buttons
