This modern headband is the perfect way to show off your Canadian pride. It is the perfect small project to use up leftover yarn and makes for a great gift.

This headband is worked in the round with double pointed 3mm (2.5US) needles and fingering weight yarn from Jamieson’s of Shetland spindrift yarn. The two colours used in the sample are Eggshell (white) and Crimson. However there are other great colour possibilities and any other fingering weight yarn would also suite this design!

The fair isle can be worked as intarsia or as stranded fair isle (although stranded involves carrying and ‘catching’ the contrast colour over a large number of stitches).

There is a narrow band of ribbing at the top and bottom of the headband and the ‘Canada’ fair isle detail with a cable beside the fair isle.

The pattern includes instructions for three sizes Small (Medium, Large) with circumference measurements of 17” (19”, 21”).

The pattern includes written instructions and a chart for the fair isle and cable.

Happy knitting!
