This pattern was inspired by the beautiful contrast of rich colors showing through lace. Intended to use only one hank of lace weight yarn, this top is made in a simple sleeveless shape, and is worked in the round with minimal seaming. The generous stretch of the lace pattern provides all the shaping needed for this stunning tank top, and simple decreases form the neckline.

Size: The pattern is written for one size, but the lace is very stretchy and will accommodate many body shapes. Finished measurements are: 30-40” bust, waist, and hips; and 20-24” long from back of neck to hem.

Materials: ~500 yards lace weight yarn (model uses one hank of Neighborhood Fiber Co. Capital Luxury Lace) ; U.S. #6 circular needle; yarn needle or small crochet hook

Gauge: one chart repeat (20 sts x 32 rows) is approx. 4” x 4”

Techniques Used:
Decreasing
Making Bobbles
Increasing
Ribbing
Working from a chart
Three Needle Bind Off

The bobbles in the model tended to pop out on the wrong side of the fabric. This can be easily fixed with a little blocking. This pattern was written for lace weight yarn, but could be easily made with something heavier if a larger gauge is desired. The pattern is written so that the columns of bobbles line up with the side seams and center front and back. If you choose to alter the pattern size by adding or removing chart repeats, be careful to adjust the neckline decreases accordingly.
