This necklace was made with Lily Sugar n cream cotton yarn, but any similar cotton yarn would work. I used an F hook, but a G hook might be more comfortable for you. However, it will give a chunkier appearance to the overall necklace. A button could be added as well as a button loop in which case you would not slip stitch the ends together. Yarn scraps were used for the entire necklace, and crochet stitches include Chain, Single crochet, and Slip stitch. There is a “typo” in the pattern instructions, and the sentence should read - “At this point you can sl st the ends together or make a chain long enough to fit over a button.”
