Candy Cane Socks
The Candy Cane Socks are inspired by colors and pattern of well-known Christmas candies.
SPECIAL OFFER: buy 2 get 15% off or buy 3 get one FREE discount applies in your cart automatically.
The socks are designed in mosaic knitting which uses only knit, purl and slip stitches.
It’s as simple as knitting stripes.
The pattern is very easy to memorize and knit up quick due to the DK yarn weight.
I designed them as a pair of mismatched socks. If you don’t like the idea of mismatched socks just knit two the same: make the WHITE ONE or the RED ONE two times.
Sizes: S (M) L (XL)
Foot circumference:
18cm/7” (20cm/8”) 23cm/8” (25cm/10”)
Measure around the ball of your foot - the numbers
above refer to your measurement, not
the finished sock.
MATERIALS
6 ply sock yarn (DK / light worsted)
Lang Yarns Super Soxx
Color A: 100 g/ ca.275m in color red #907.0060
Color B: 100 g/ ca.275m in color white #907.0094
Additionally Lang Yarns reinforcement yarn (for toes and heels if you want to make them stronger):
5g of in color red #0060*

GAUGE
26 sts x 28 rows in PATTERN on a 2,5 mm (US size 1,5) needle = 10 x 10 cm (4” x 4”)
NEEDLES
2,5 mm (US size 1,5) sock needles of your choice: DPNS, short circulars or long circular for Magic Loop (min.100cm/39”) or other size to obtain the gauge.
I knit rather loosely and usually take needles a size smaller than recommended by the yarn brand. Probably a lot of you would take the needles a size bigger than mentioned above to obtain the gauge (it will be probably the size recommended by the yarn brand).
