Candy canes! These adorable ornaments are quick to knit, and fun! Pattern includes 9 inch and 5 inch sizes. You just need some pipe cleaners.

Knitted tube ornaments with a solid rounded cast-on end and a cinched closure at the base, stuffed and shaped with pipe cleaners. Knit in the round.

Skill level: Great intermediate beginner project for getting used to working small in the round, and using magic loop or dpns.

Yarn: 1 mini-skein/cupcake of fingering weight yarn. 87 yards / 80 meters makes 20 small (5”) or 4 big (9”) candy canes. (4 ½ yards / 4 meters makes one small candy cane, 22 yards / 20 meters makes one big candy cane.)

• 1 pipe cleaner per small candy cane, 4 pipe cleaners per big candy cane.

Needles: US 1 / 2.25mm circular needle (20 inch + length) or dpns.
