Both hats are worked in the same stitch (1x1 rib) and with the same construction instructions (flat and seamed), except the ones that regard the color changing pattern.

Materials required:

• Yarn with a density of 50g = 140 m or 150 yds (about DK weight)
• Quantities:
• for the Candy Stripes: 75g or 3 oz. white, small amount of red.
• for the Multicolored: 75g or 3 oz. red, small amount of the other colors.
• US 5 knitting needles

Important: The instructions in the different sources have different quantities. The English source seems to recommend DK weight, while the Portuguese instructions possibly assume you’d work with fingering weight held double, but omit precise instructions about that.
