My very first pattern here on Ravelry!

These colorwork fingerless mitts were inspired by the beautiful yarn dyed by Nina of Brujeria Lana. The warm golden rainbow reminds me of candy covered gingerbread houses and faded photographs from the 70’s. I designed the colorwork motifs with that feeling in mind.

Fingering weight in two contrasting colors. Choose a solid main color and a variegated contrasted color.

Gauge is 14st /15 rows = 2” (in stockinette)

A note about sizing: This pattern is one size however larger and smaller versions can be created by changing yarn weight and/or needle size. For example the black version was knit on a size US 3 needles using two strands of Holst Supersoft in the Black and Sweet Pea colorways. Only 5 increase rounds were knit instead of 7 and the palm colorwork was cut short by 8 rounds as well.
