Nimbus Treasures – Bamboo Purse and Arrow Headband & Belt

Accessories are widely underestimated in their appeal. Wear something unpretentious, but add a few details (such as a beautiful purse, an eye-catching headband and/or an unusual belt) and you may end up with your favorite outfit for a stroll through the city or for the next visit to the movies.

These three knitted pieces are made of one of the greatest 100% merino wools on the planet. Zitron’s Nimbus is super-soft, moderately shiny and comes in great colors. These accessories can be worked with any yarn that delivers a similar gauge, but for the pieces to be eye-catching, a multicolor-dyed yarn almost is a must.

• Yarn: Zitron Nimbus – 7 oz / 200 g = 437.45 yd / 400 m (color 16) (two balls for the purse and two for the headband & belt)
• US 10 / 6 mm regular needles or circular (purse)
• US 8 / 5 mm needles; any kind incl. double-pointed (headband & belt)
• a piece of plastic as an insert to stabilize the purse: ~11 x 12.6“ / 28 x 32 cm
• lining material for the purse – one big piece to be cut or: ~ 12 x 14” / 30 x 36 cm for main part of purse ~ 9.4 x 4.7” / 24 x 12 cm for round sides of purse (cut in half for both sides) ~ 2 x 29” / 5 x 74 cm for the strap (or cut from big piece into strips)
• one belt buckle, ~4.33“ / ~11 cm high
• two pieces of leather; ~4.7 x 1.6“ / ~12 x 4 cm each; exact size depends on your belt buckle, leave about half an inch / a 1 cm margin: as high as belt buckle and wide enough, so you can wrap it around the inner part of the belt buckle, which will be attached to the knitted fabric
• one ~10“ / 25 cm zipper for the purse
• tapestry needle to weave in yarn ends
• ~ US H-8 / 5 mm crochet hook for the provisional cast-on headband (size not crucial)

Nimbus-Schätze – Handtasche, Gürtel & Stirnband

Accessoires werden meist in ihrer Wirkung unterschätzt. Sie können etwas Bescheidenes tragen, doch wenn Sie einige Details hinzufügen (wie eine schöne Tasche, ein auffälliges Stirnband und/oder einen ungewöhnlichen Gürtel), erhalten Sie unter Umständen Ihr künftiges Lieblingsoutfit für einen Stadtbummel oder einen entspannten Kinoabend.
Diese drei Strickstücke sind aus einem der tollsten 100% Merinowollgarne überhaupt gestrickt. Zitrons Nimbus ist extrem weich, von zurückhaltendem Glanz und in vielen Einzel- und Multifärbungen erhältlich. Sie können die Stücke aber mit jedem Garn stricken, das eine ähnliche Maschenprobe liefert, nur ist ein Mehrfarbengarn fast ein Muss, damit die Strickmuster gut zur Geltung kommen.

• wie man eine stabile zweifarbige Indianernaht verzierend einsetzen kann und

• eine ~ 11 cm hohe Gürtelschnallen
• zwei Stücke Leder: je ~ 12 x 4 cm; die exakte Größe hängt von der Gürtelschnalle ab, lassen Sie einen Spielraum von ~ 1 cm → so hoch wie die Gürtelschnalle u. so breit, dass man es um den (inneren) Teil der Gürtelschnalle legen kann, der mit dem Gestrick verbunden wird
