Canna is a cute little asymmetric, side-buttoning cardigan with a garter stitch lace front panel and garter stitch bands, named after the asymmetric flowers of the canna family.

Canna is a simply constructed, seamless raglan-sleeve cardigan that is knitted from the bottom up, with front bands included in the body. The offset opening means that it resembles a sweater, but provides the ease of dressing of a cardigan. The body is knitted flat and the sleeves are knitted in the round.

The pattern is for use with light sport weight or fingering weight yarn and is in five sizes, from birth to 2 years (0 -3, 3 – 6, 6 – 12, 12 – 18 months and 18 months to 2 years). Detailed written instructions and an optional chart are given, as well as a schematic diagram. All measurements are given in both metric and imperial.
