The name of this cowl came to me as I was working on the prototype – the colors of the yarns reminded me of the redbrown
rocks and brilliant blue skies of the American Southwest. And
Canyonlands National Park is one of the best examples. Somewhat
similar to my Dreamtime and Winter Dreams cowls, this one uses a much simpler stitch pattern but maintains the effect of two color-changing yarns. A bit of additional textural interest is created by working in the back loops. The pattern includes instructions for both fingering-weight and worsted-weight versions.
