The pattern contains both a sweater and a slipover version. Both are knitted seamlessly, in stockinette stitch from the top down. The back is worked first, followed by the shoulders. Once the back and fronts are joined, they are knitted together in the round and finished with a hem knitted back and forth in a 1x1 rib to create side slits. The back hem is slightly longer than the front one.
For the sweater version, the sleeves are worked next in the round. For the slipover version, the armholes are finished with an I-cord. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline to create the neckband.
Sizes 1–2 feature straight sleeves, while larger sizes have tapered sleeves to reduce excess width at the elbow and cuffs. Optionally, wrap & turn short rows are used to improve sleeve fit.
