Cape Fear Tank
Notes
This tank is knit from the top down. You will begin by casting on the back shoulder stitches, joining, and working the back panel until you reach a comfortable point under your arms. The front panel is then picked up from the shoulder stitches and uses M1L and M1R increases to form a soft V-neckline. The armholes and neckline use an applied I-cord edge to hide stray ends easily.
Yarn
Lace/light fingering weight yarn, size 1-2 of preferred silk.
The swatch shown is knit with one skein of Miller Girls 100% Mulberry silk (1000 yds/100g). Know that a different fiber may affect blocking later on.
Needles & Notions
- 4mm knitting needles, 20in circular (or preferred length)
- stitch marker
- yarn needle for weaving in ends
Gauge
22 sts x 34 rows in stockinette and garter st (alternate sections of 15 row repeats, starting w stockinette) = 4in x 4in with 4mm needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
