Capelet knitting pattern - a capelet is a great alternative to wraps and pashminas to keep your shoulders warm in chilly weather. Simply shaped over your shoulders so there’s no unflattering bulky bits!

Wear this cape over your cocktail dress to a fancy restaurant or with a pair of jeans and boots to the pub for a touch of retro inspired style.

Pattern includes S/M and M/L options. S/M shown here on a UK size 12 mannequin.

It’s easy to adjust the length of the capelet to suit you - this pattern knits from the top down.

You will need 15mm circular (80cm long) knitting needle, a button, some lobster claw or other removable stitch markers and a darning needle. This pattern prints off on A4 paper that folds into an A5 booklet - I like this size to carry around in my knitting bag.

This capelet uses 3 skeins of King Cole Supa-Dupa yarn. I chose the wool blend as the acrylic bit makes the capelet a little lighter to wear!

A quick and satisfying knit.
